Provider and scope
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern access to and use of Grip, including the web application, websites, APIs and the Model Context Protocol interface (together, the “Service”).
The Service is provided by 6S Jakub Sadowski, a sole trader established in Poland (“Grip”, “we”, “us”). Full operator details are available in section 14.
These Terms apply to individuals using Grip for themselves and to people using Grip for or through an organization. Mandatory rights granted by applicable law—especially consumer rights—remain unaffected.
Agreement and eligibility
You accept these Terms when you create an account, sign in to a new account, accept an invitation, or otherwise use the Service. If you use Grip on behalf of an organization, you confirm that you are authorized to bind that organization.
You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into this agreement. If you do not agree to the Terms, do not create an account or use the Service.
Access is currently limited to invited users. An invitation is personal unless it expressly allows sharing, and it does not guarantee continued access while the Service remains in beta.
The Service
Grip is a knowledge workspace for notes, projects, decisions and related context. It supports Personal, My work and Company spaces, export features, organization membership and controlled access by connected agents.
The current Service does not itself generate AI output. It can make selected content available to external agents or tools that you connect. Features may be added, changed or removed during the beta as described in section 8.
You are responsible for the devices, internet connection and compatible software needed to use the Service.
Accounts and organizations
You must provide a valid email address, keep access to it secure, and promptly tell us if you believe your account has been compromised. Sign-in links and any configured authentication factors must not be shared.
An account can belong to one or more organizations. Organization owners and administrators can manage members, invitations, roles and organization-controlled spaces. Your Personal space remains separate from organization spaces. Content in My work and Company spaces may be controlled by the relevant organization according to its role and access settings.
You are responsible for actions taken through your account unless they result from a failure for which we are legally responsible.
Your content
You or the relevant organization retain ownership of content submitted to Grip (“User Content”). You confirm that you have the rights and permissions needed to store, share and process that content through the Service.
You grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to host, copy, transmit, display and otherwise process User Content only as needed to provide, secure, maintain and support the Service, comply with law, and follow your instructions within the product. This licence ends when the content is deleted, except for copies we must retain by law or for legitimate security and legal claims.
How we process personal data is described in the Privacy Policy.
Grip includes export functions for notes, spaces and libraries. You should keep an appropriate copy of important content, particularly while the Service is in beta.
Agents and integrations
You may connect Grip to external agents, clients or services, including through MCP. A connected agent acts with the permissions assigned to your account and the visibility rules applied to each note. You are responsible for choosing the tools you connect and the instructions you give them.
Once content is sent to an external service, that service processes it under its own terms and privacy practices. We do not control an external service’s output, availability or later use of content. Review its terms before connecting it, especially when the content is confidential or belongs to an organization.
You must not use an integration to bypass access controls or retrieve content you are not entitled to access. Access credentials and tokens must be protected and revoked if compromised.
Acceptable use
You may use the Service only lawfully and in accordance with these Terms. You must not:
- infringe intellectual property, privacy, confidentiality or other rights;
- upload malware or use the Service to deceive, harass, exploit or harm others;
- gain or attempt to gain unauthorized access to accounts, content, systems or networks;
- bypass access, security, rate or usage controls;
- interfere with the Service or impose an unreasonable load on it;
- reverse engineer the Service except where applicable law expressly permits it;
- use the Service or its content to violate law or facilitate unlawful conduct.
If you become aware of misuse or a security issue, contact us promptly.
Beta availability and changes
Grip is provided as a beta service. We aim to keep it useful and available, but we do not promise uninterrupted operation, a service level, or that every feature will remain unchanged. Maintenance, technical failures and product changes can affect availability.
We may change, limit or discontinue features to develop the product, protect users, comply with law or address security and reliability. Where a change materially reduces the Service, we will provide reasonable notice when practical.
Nothing in this section limits rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded.
Ending or suspending access
You may stop using Grip at any time. Account closure and deletion requests are currently handled manually at contact@grip.do. Export content you want to keep before requesting closure.
We may restrict or suspend access when reasonably necessary to protect the Service or others, investigate suspected misuse, comply with law, or respond to a material breach of these Terms. We may act immediately where there is a security risk, illegal conduct or serious harm. In other cases, where reasonable, we will explain the issue and allow an opportunity to remedy it.
After closure, organization-controlled content may remain available to the organization. Some records may also be retained where required by law or reasonably necessary for security, fraud prevention or legal claims.
Responsibility and liability
You are responsible for your User Content, your configuration of access permissions, and decisions made using information obtained through Grip or a connected external service.
To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for external services, their output, or loss caused solely by your instructions, unauthorized sharing of credentials, or use contrary to these Terms. For users acting in the course of business, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profit or lost business opportunity.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability for intentional misconduct, or any mandatory rights of consumers.
Complaints and consumer rights
Send complaints to contact@grip.do with the email connected to your account and enough information for us to investigate. We will respond without undue delay, normally within 14 days.
If you are a consumer, you retain all mandatory rights under Polish and European Union law. Because the current beta is free, the Terms do not contain payment, renewal or refund provisions. Where the Service is supplied in exchange for personal data rather than money, mandatory consumer rules that apply to digital services remain in force.
You can end use of the free Service at any time as described in section 9. Any statutory right of withdrawal or other mandatory remedy remains unaffected.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms when the Service, law, security requirements or our business changes. The current version and effective date will be shown on this page.
For a material change, we will give at least 14 days’ notice by email, in the Service or through another durable method, unless a faster change is required by law or an urgent security issue. Continuing to use the Service after the change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms. If you do not agree, stop using the Service and request closure.
Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by Polish law. This choice does not deprive consumers of mandatory protections provided by the law of their habitual residence.
We encourage you to contact us first so we can try to resolve a dispute. Courts have jurisdiction according to applicable law. For business users only, disputes will be submitted to the court competent for the provider’s registered place of business.
